How to buy Osaka soccer tickets?

Japanese soccer is called the J-League, which is one of the biggest soccer leagues in Asia. Except for some popular matches, tickets are not very hard to get, but there is not much information available in English. Here you can find information on how to get soccer tickets in Osaka!

1. Select the soccer club you want to watch.

Before you buy tickets, you may want to select the club you are interested in. Below you will find the details of the football clubs so that you know which football clubs you want to buy tickets for.
- Japan National Soccer Team
The Japan National Team is the top sports team in Japan. Tickets are very popular and sell out quickly. Getting one is like getting a golden ticket! Because of the popularity, the stadium is really huge. So if you arrive early enough, you have a chance to get tickets.
- Gamba Osaka
Gamba Osaka is a professional soccer club team in the J1 League, which was originally founded in 1980 by Matsushita Electric Industrial Company's soccer club. The stadium, Panasonic Stadium Suita, was completed in 2015 and has a capacity of 40,000 people. The stadium has won numerous titles and is known as a powerhouse. Many players have been selected for Japan's national soccer team, including Yasuhito Endo, Yasuyuki Konno, and Tsuneyasu Miyamoto, and an increasing number of players have moved overseas in recent years, including Takashi Usami and Yosuke Iteguchi. It is said that the depth of the player base is due in part to the quality of the lower divisions of the team. The players must pass a test to join the youth team, where they can receive professional coaching, and the path to the top team is clear and complete. The team has been coached by famous managers, including Kenta Hasegawa, who won the Triple Crown in Japan, and Akira Nishino, who coached at the World Cup in Russia. During Akira Nishino's tenure, the team's ultra-aggressive style of scoring three goals for every two goals conceded excited supporters and spectators alike at every match.

- Cerezo Osaka
Cerezo Osaka is one of Japan's professional soccer clubs. It belongs to J1, the highest division in Japan. The club was formerly the Yanmar Diesel Football Club and joined the J-League in 1995, and after a long period of stagnation in J2 and a lack of titles, the end came in 2017. The team won the J-League Cup and also the Emperor's Cup, beating Yokohama F. Marinos to win their first two cup championships. Despite the great results under Yoon Jung-hwan, he was forced to step down the following year in 2018 due to poor results. In recent years, the number of female supporters, known as "Sele-jo," has been increasing.

Vissel Kobe
Vissel Kobe is a J-League soccer club based in Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture, whose home stadium is Noevir Stadium Kobe, which was newly built for the 2002 World Cup in Japan and Korea. The team was founded in 1966 by the Kawasaki Ice Cream Club, which became a member of the J-League in 1997. The team's name is derived from the words Victory, meaning victory, and Bissell, meaning ship; the word means a victorious embarkation, and the name is very much in keeping with Kobe, an international port city. The team recently concluded the transfer of the much-talked-about world-class player Andres Iniesta, giving them a major boost in their bid to win the championship. Their performance will be watched with interest as they look to win their first championship, a long-cherished goal. Despite having a star-studded lineup, they have struggled to win, but they finally won a J1 league in 2024.

The club's predecessor was Kyoto Shikoh Club, founded in 1922, which changed its name to Kyoto Purple Sanga in 1993 and to Kyoto Sanga in 2007. The team name is a combination of the team color "purple," which has been used since the Kyoto Purple Club, the Sanskrit word "sanga," which means "friend," and "sanga," which is an image of Kyoto, the city of mountains, rivers, and lakes. The emblem represents the agile offensive power of the arrowhead and the strong defensive power of the shield, and the fighting stance of the Phoenix and Phoenix facing each other. The burning red color symbolizes the passionate fighting spirit and hot soul. The mascots, Pasa-kun and Kotono-chan, are also inspired by the phoenix and the immortal phoenix, and their red flame symbolizes passion and aggressive action, and their image is of winning together with the supporters. The team color is purple. The former team is the oldest and most traditional of the J-League member clubs. This season, they have won the J2 and moved to J1.

2. Book Soccer tickets.

Soccer tickets are not very likely to sell out in Japan, but they do have a lot of core fans - which means that good seats and front rows usually sell out very quickly.  If you are okay with the back of the stadium, there is no need to rush. But if you want to secure good seats, we recommend that you act quickly. Also, if you are looking for tickets for national team games, you will want to book as early as possible.

3. Go to a stadium directly.

Japanese soccer tickets are less likely to be sold out (except for the Japanese national team). You can simply go to the stadium and buy tickets if they are not sold out - you can check each club's official website for availability. Credit cards may not be accepted at the stadium, so be sure to bring cash.
